Detroit Mercy Orientation Leaders help get first-year students all settled in!

The entire Detroit Mercy community welcomes our new and returning students to our three campuses for the fall semester 2018! On Aug. 21, hundreds of freshmen moved into the dorms on the McNichols Campus and officially began their academic careers as our newest Titans! During move-in day, Dr. Antoine Garibaldi, president of the University, stopped by each room in Shiple Hall to welcome new students and chat with their parents and families. The president’s tradition of greeting new students began when he first arrived on campus in 2011 and continues in earnest today. Many students and their parents were surprised and very happy to receive him as he made the trek to each floor.

Current students from various sororities, fraternities and clubs were on hand to welcome students and help get them acclimated to Detroit Mercy.
