MiTransfer Pathways at Detroit Mercy

Transfer your bachelor's degree seamlessly

 

University of Detroit Mercy is excited to join the statewide MiTransfer Pathways initiative so that students can transition smoothly from a community college. This option encourages students to optimize transfer credit by taking courses that will count towards both an associate degree and a bachelor's degree. There are currently four Detroit Mercy programs participating in the initiative. Learn more about the details of each program by exploring the options below, each pathway is divided into four parts.

    Biology MiTransfer Pathway

    Part I

    Students following MiTransfer Pathway agreements should complete the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA).  The MTA is a 30 credit hour plan, designed by the community college, which allows students to meet general education requirements by completing coursework from a variety of subjects. It should also be noted that students following this particular pathway should be conscious of degree requirements for Math. Consult with a community college advisor to identify specific courses to fulfill this agreement.  

    Part II

    The courses listed below are considered common throughout this pathway.  Each one is transferable from the community college and is also required within the Biology curriculum.  Click on the Pathway Course Name to visit the MiTransfer website and search for equivalencies.

    Part IV

    Students who complete the Biology MiTransfer Pathway entirely, will have met all Knowledge Areas of Detroit Mercy's core curriculum and a variety of lower level Biology requirements.  Upon transferring to the bachelor's degree program, students will then be prepared to enter the upper level Biology courses and complete the remaining degree requirements.  Explore the full Biology program curriculum here.

    Business Administration MiTransfer Pathway

    Part I

    Criminal Justice MiTransfer Pathway

    Part I

    Students following MiTransfer Pathway agreements should complete the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA).  The MTA is a 30 credit hour plan, designed by the community college, which allows students to meet general education requirements by completing coursework from a variety of subjects. Consult with a community college advisor to identify specific courses to fulfill this agreement.

    There are a variety of Criminal Justice program requirements available for transfer from the community college.  Additional CJS courses can be searched via the MiTransfer website but are not required for this specific pathway.

    Psychology MiTransfer Pathway

    Part I
